Growing up as a kid, my Dad worked his buns off! Without recognizing it, his influence on me was TREMENDOUS! Throughout my primary and secondary education, he would wake up at 4:30 am to hit the gym on his way to work, often returning home just in time for dinner. By 9:00 pm he would be fast asleep in his leather chair.

Recently, he and I went on a fishing trip near the Oregon/California border. Together in a car for 6 hours, we had the chance to catch up beyond the typical small talk. After three days together—and not a lot of fish—we parted ways. I was filled with memories I had long forgotten of the two of us fishing together, backpacking, and talking.

Thank you Dad!
